JEWISH WAR VETERANS, COVERED BRIDGE POST #536
The meeting of the JWV will be held in the Clubhouse A wards Room All meetings will commence on Tuesdays at 10:30 AM. On January 13, February 10 and March 3. After all meetings attendees will then be treated to pizza. NEW members - no first year dues. All are welcome!
Sunday, January 14 is JWV's trip to the Marina. The bus is scheduled to arrive at Covered Bridge 1's Clubhouse at 9:15 AM. All wishing to go to Atlantic City please come to the Clubhouse parking area around 9:00 AM. The bus will proceed to Covered Bridge I and leave around 9:30 AM. Our service to the Marina will aJso operate during December and January, if weather conditions are favorable. The free Jitney tickets are still available. Monday, January 26, is our regular trip to the Menlo Park soldiers' Home. The mini bus arrives around 12:30 PM, in front of Covered Bridge 1's Clubhouse and departs at 1:00 PM for the short trip to the vet's home. We organize a Bingo game and serve cookies and coffee. Volunteers are always needed, as we give the vets a day of enjoyment, most of whom are wheel-chair bound. Tuesday, January 27 at 2:00 PM, Commander Bill Epstein, Sr. Vice Commander Al Brown, and Jr. Vice Commander Izzy Abramczyk, will host a meeting with the Ocean County Council members. They will be greeted in the Party Room.
