The following is a list of observed holidays that Covered Bridge bus will not be

Leon's Taxi to provide Sunday, Christmas and Easter van service to St. Thomas
More Church. Covered Bridge residents wishing to be picked up, should call the
dispatcher at Leon's Taxi and Car Service in advance at (732) 431-9091. All
passengers will be required to show their Covered Bridge ID cards in each direction
when boarding a van or taxi, just as with Monmouth County busses.

The new bus route will include Cross Slope Court, Meadow Green Circle, Pine Cluster Circle, Overlook Way, Arrowood Road and Wild Turkey Way, as well as Amberly Drive. We expect this to make the bus accessible to many more Covered Bridge residents. A map of the route through Covered Bridge is enclosed. In addition, the bus will stop anywhere along its entire route upon request. There will no longer be a charge of $1 per ride for residents who show their Covered Bridge ID cards each way when boarding.
On the trip north on Route 9, the bus will cross over Route 9 to pick up returning riders at the Manalapan Mall (Wegmans, Target, etc.) and also at Foodtown (on Friday and Saturday), so riders can return home directly.

The Trustees have arranged for Leon's Taxi to provide Sunday, Christmas and Easter van service to St. Thomas Moore church. Covered Bridge residents wishing to be picked up should call the dispatcher at Leon's Taxi & Car Service in advance at (732) 446-1667.
Service to and from the church will be provided every Sunday. Pick-up will start at 9:20 AM, to arrive at the church in time for the 10:00 AM mass. Return service will take place when the mass ends around 11:00 AM. Christmas and Easter schedules will be provided in the future.

There will be two vans when needed, each of which can hold up to fifteen passengers. When there are fewer passengers signed up, one van or a van and a car will be used. Our cost will depend on the number and type of vehicles used. Therefore, anyone who has scheduled a trip must notify the dispatcher if they change their plans.

*When we printed the Monmouth County bus schedule, we indicated that, on request, the bus returning north on Route 9 will cross over Route 9 to pick up returning passengers at stores in the Manalapan Mall. A number of residents asked for clarification about which stores will be included. The pick-up will be available at any of the stores on Route 9 south between Ryan Road and Craig Road. This includes Wegman's, Target, Best Buy, Value City, Verizon Wireless, Bed Bath and Beyond, etc.
